Travel Insurance For Groups

Group travel insurance is a good idea if you are travelling with friends or family. What this means is that all members of the party have the same travel insurance and are covered by the same company. It can sometimes cause problems if each member of your groups buys travel insurance from a different company.

You can normally expect a discount for group travel insurance because buying one policy to cover everyone requires less admin for the insurance company. It’s always worth asking if you can have a discount if you buy a group travel insurance policy.

The actual policy benefits of group travel insurance should be no different to that for individual single-trip travel cover. However, you will not be able to buy annual travel insurance for a group unless you are a family living at the same address. If you and 6 friends are going on holiday together you may be wise to look at buying separate annual travel policies for each member of the group so that you are all covered by the same company just under different policies.
